Intergenerational learning and solidarity (Turkey)

Osman and his mother
In the XXI century society, there are some facts never before experienced, that we have for granted: a) The ever growing longevity of human beings, and the consequent demographic ageing; b) The absolute necessity for individuals to become aware of their own expectations and interests of lifelong learning, without losing sight that it is framed within a community and generational context; c) The European social model, based on the contract of solidarity between generations, is a fabricated situation: if the citizens want to keep it, they will have to be more productive and socially responsible - this can only be achieved through the learning / continuous improvement.
